Tabletochki provided $441,612 of support in March

Thanks to our donors:

— 122 children being treated in Ukraine received the necessary help — medicines, including medical products not registered in Ukraine, and consumables. The Foundation also helped with examinations and diagnostics. The expenses of targeted assistance projects were $83,641.

— $113,515 were allocated to supporting Ukrainian hospitals, including improving treatment conditions and purchasing medicines and medical supplies. In particular:

  • $22,478 was spent on six patient monitors for the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center in Lviv. The device records vital signs (pulse, saturation, pressure, breathing rate, etc.), shows them directly on the ward monitor, and transmits the data to the medical post. It greatly facilitates the supervision of patients who require special attention.
  • We also continued reconstructing the ambulatory space of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center in Lviv. This is to reduce the crowding of families, the waiting time for an appointment with a doctor (it will be possible to consult up to four families simultaneously), and to relieve the staff who provide care in the hospital.

— $43,072 was allocated to doctors’ internships and financial support within the program of support and continuous professional development of the medical personnel. 110 medics took part in the program’s activities in March.

— Tabletochki spent $26,236 on the Foundation’s palliative care program. We help families with terminally ill children live comfortably and without pain. We organize consultations with doctors and psychologists, classes with rehabilitators, provide medicines and things necessary for care, and make their dreams come true.

— $16,217 were allocated to outpatient housing in Kyiv and Lviv for non-resident families who no longer need to stay in the hospital but should visit them often for procedures and tests.

— Psychological assistance for children and their relatives cost $7,952. Cancer treatment is constant stress. Mental health and wellness help the family cope with treatment and build strength for fighting. We provide group and individual psychological counseling to support families during the treatment.

— $14,280 were allocated to the Child Life program. These include master classes in hospitals, holiday discharges, gifts, camps, and communication clubs after treatment.

— Those children with cancer who could not receive all the required treatment in Ukraine were evacuated abroad. The expenses were $18,786 and included: transfers in Ukraine and abroad, translation of medical documents, and one-time financial assistance that covered costs appearing due to a sudden relocation.

— 176 families of children with cancer being abroad received financial, psychological, and household assistance in the amount of $46,937.

You can find a detailed financial report here.

Thank you for standing with children in their fight against cancer!

The Foundation’s maintenance expenses in March 2023 were 16.1%. The magnification of this expense item is related to the advance payment of implementing a new CRM system. The Foundation received a targeted grant for this in February this year.
