In more than 10 months in the hospital, Myroslava has been through many of the difficulties that come with cancer treatment. For a while, nausea and changes in taste and smell made eating almost impossible, and she lost a significant amount of weight. The treatment took a toll both physically and emotionally.

Now, Myroslava is finally feeling better. She is even able to go home from the hospital from time to time, and there, her mother says, she starts to seem like her old self again. But returning to her active life will take more time.

This is not the first time Myroslava’s family has had to start over. In 2022, they left the Donetsk oblast and settled in the Kyiv oblast. Her father serves in the Ukrainian military.

Now her parents are supporting their daughter through cancer treatment while the war continues around them. Cancer does not stop because there is a war.

Support Myroslava and hundreds of other children undergoing cancer treatment while living through war. Become a monthly donor so they can count on reliable support throughout their treatment and know they do not have to face it alone.
