Every donation is crucial
DONATE NOWThanks to our donors:
— Children undergoing treatment in Ukraine received the necessary medicines, including those from abroad, single-use medical devices, and underwent examinations worth $77,111.
Such support helps children receive the necessary treatment as quickly as possible despite the war and the resulting impoverishment of the population, and their parents do not have to organize fundraisers for this purpose.
— $147,713 were allocated to supporting Ukrainian hospitals. Thanks to donors and partners, the Foundation purchases medicines and supplies not only for families but also for children’s oncology departments. We also improve treatment conditions by repairing, opening new spaces, and purchasing equipment.
In particular:
— $43,319 was spent on doctors’ internships and financial support within the program of support and continuous professional development of the medical personnel. 172 medics took part in the program’s activities in April. Despite the Russian full-scale invasion, doctors are training in Ukraine and abroad to ensure that children receive the best possible treatment.
— Tabletochki allocated $34,454 to the Foundation’s palliative care program. Not all children can be cured of cancer, but all can be helped. We organize consultations with doctors and psychologists, classes with rehabilitation therapists, provide medicines and necessary items for care, and make dreams come true.
— $9,890 was allocated to outpatient apartments in Kyiv and Lviv for non-local families discharged from the hospital but still need frequent tests and procedures. At this stage of treatment, the families are financially exhausted and cannot afford to rent their housing.
— $7,372 was spent on psychological assistance for children and their families. Professional help supports families under severe stress and strengthens them to fight the disease.
— $17,967 was allocated to the Child Life program. During cancer treatment, children have to stay in the hospital for months and undergo many painful procedures. To endure this, as well as to grow and develop, they need positive emotions. That’s why we organize creative workshops, festive discharges, holidays, and give gifts. We also organize communication clubs and camps for children in remission. Cancer cannot put childhood on hold.
— Those children with cancer who could not receive all the required treatment in Ukraine were evacuated abroad. The expenses were $13,329 and included transfers in Ukraine and abroad, translation of medical documents, and one-time financial assistance that covered expenses appearing due to a sudden relocation.
— Families of children with cancer being abroad received financial and household assistance for $36,229. We are there for children, wherever they are.
The Foundation’s maintenance expenses in April 2023 were 10.7%
