Thanks to our donors:

— Children received medicines, other medical supplies and underwent examinations at a total cost of $91,856. The number of beneficiaries of this program has once again broken records. In June, 184 families received such assistance from the Foundation. Children who are battling two wars need support more than ever.

— Nine hospitals received medicines and supplies worth $35,034. We cover the urgent needs of medical institutions so that children do not interrupt their treatment for a single day.

— In June, 117 doctors attended conferences, observerships, and training modules in Ukraine and abroad, learned English, and received financial support. The cost of this program amounted to $15,015. The Foundation is constantly helping doctors improve their knowledge and skills to ensure that children receive the best possible care.

— $22,903 was allocated to the Foundation’s palliative care program. This includes medicines, care products, consultations with doctors and psychologists, classes with specially trained dogs, items for favorite hobbies, and fulfillment of dreams for terminally ill children. We do everything possible for their comfort.

— $10,297 was spent on outpatient housing for non-local families in Kyiv and Lviv who have to visit the hospital regularly but cannot afford to rent housing in these cities. The fight against cancer does not end when children are discharged from the hospital; months later, they need to undergo frequent procedures and tests. Without a place to live, it would be tough.

— $14,018 was spent on psychological assistance for children and their families. Psychologists provided emotional support to 115 families experiencing severe stress due to a child’s serious illness and the war.

— $8,288 was allocated to the Child Life program. We organize holidays in oncology wards, ceremonial discharges, creative workshops, and give gifts to help children remain children, even when they spend months in the hospital fighting a severe illness.

— $8,796 was spent on evacuation and support of families abroad. When the treatment a child needs is not available in Ukraine, we help them find it abroad, and later, if they need it and want to, they can return home and continue their therapy here.

The Foundation’s expenses for raising funds to help children amounted to 24.2%*, and administrative expenses amounted to 5.4%.

*The June increase in these expenses was due to license fees for the Salesforce donor relationship management software. The Foundation received a grant from the international organization GlobalGiving for this purpose.

In June, 920 donors subscribed to monthly support on International Children’s Day and became superfriends of children. You also raised $24,861 and $20,086 during the campaigns in the Budynok Igrashok and JYSK stores.
