Until recently, he was a perfectly healthy boy. But in July 2025, when his mother came home from work, she noticed a blood spot in Oleksiiʼs eye.
At first, doctors suspected an inflammation or an injury, but further tests revealed a tumor. Since then, Oleksii has been undergoing chemotherapy at Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital in Kyiv. 

During treatment and for several days afterward, he struggles with severe nausea, weakness, and loss of appetite — he can’t even look at his favorite chocolate. But once the symptoms pass, he’s back to being cheerful and full of energy, waiting for the next round of chemotherapy.

More than anything, Oleksii dreams of recovering and returning to football — to be like his hero, Cristiano Ronaldo.
