The family realized something was wrong when, at 10 months old, Angelina suddenly stopped standing up on her own and walking while holding onto furniture.

“She would climb off the bed and immediately drop to her knees — you could tell she was in pain,” recalls Angelina’s mother, Liudmyla.

While doctors were searching for the cause, Angelina’s condition kept worsening. She no longer wanted to play and became very weak. Finally, just a week before her first birthday, a CT scan revealed a large tumor.

Angelina has already undergone a complex six-hour surgery and is now receiving chemotherapy. Despite the difficult treatment, she continues to grow and learn new things.

“When they told us it was cancer, the ground disappeared beneath our feet. But Angelina herself gives us strength. What inspires me most is how much of a fighter she is. No matter how hard or painful it gets, she always tries to stand up and keep going,” her mother says.

Cancer treatment is a long journey — and no child should go through it alone.
