Denys’s treatment has been long and difficult. The first symptoms appeared at the end of 2024. At first, it looked like pneumonia. But the cough would not go away, and his condition kept getting worse. Eventually, doctors discovered a tumor in his chest.

In search of quality care, the family traveled from Poltava Oblast to Okhmatdyt — Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital.

Before his illness, Denys was very active. He loved dancing and singing and often took part in competitions. Now most of his life takes place in the hospital.
