Last Easter, Andrii suddenly complained of pain in his leg. At first, it seemed like nothing serious for such an active boy — maybe he had hurt himself while riding his bike. But the pain didn’t go away. Tests revealed the cause: metastases, with the main tumor located in his adrenal gland.

At the Clinical Center of Children’s Healthcare in Lviv, Andrii began a complex treatment that includes many stages: chemotherapy, including high-dose courses, two bone marrow transplants, immunotherapy, and then radiation therapy.

During the long treatment, Andrii misses his many friends and doesn’t understand why he can’t see them like before. He often asks his mother, “When will I be healthy again? Will I be able to go to birthday parties then?”

You can help bring victory over cancer closer for children like Andrii. Every donation you make helps them continue their vital treatment and move step by step toward a childhood free from cancer. Make your contribution today.
