Viktoriia was diagnosed in August 2024. Her mother noticed that the little girl’s belly suddenly grew in size. It turned out to be a tumor.

Since then, Viktoriia has undergone two surgeries, eight cycles of chemotherapy, and radiation therapy at Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv. None of it is easy — but despite everything, she remains cheerful and sociable. She already knows all the doctors by name and enjoys talking to them.

“When we learned about the diagnosis, we were in shock,” says Viktoriia’s mother, Mariia. “But the support from people around us makes all the difference.”
