In November 2023, he suddenly developed abdominal pain and a high fever. Tests showed a tumor on his kidney. Sadly, after the first stage of treatment, the cancer returned very quickly.

So far, Mykhailo has had four surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. His treatment continues at Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv.

More than anything, he dreams of getting better. And when he grows up — the boy wants to become a firefighter and save people.
